2. Where is the pool?

As you enter the main parking lot at Oak Hills High School, drive toward the stadium.  There is a short, one-lane driveway on the right, leading to a small parking lot.  Use the glass doors that are under the 2nd overpass, on your left as you drive toward the lot.  When you enter the school, go straight till this hallway dead-ends.  Turn left and the pool doors are on the right, half-way down this hallway.  Head towards the smell of chlorine and the sounds of splashing!

3. What equipment do we need for our first practice?

  • A racing-style suit: one-piece for girls, jammers or a brief for boys.
  • Comfortable fitting goggles.

  • Bathing cap for long-haired swimmers.  Even short-haired swimmers will notice softer hair with regular use of a cap.

  • Towel and body lotion for after practice!

4. Why Join the OHYA Swim Team?

  • Compete with some of the best swimmers in the area!

  • Improve your swimming strokes, starts, turns and finishes

  • Improve your core strength & cardio-respiratory endurance

  • Excellent way to cross-train for ALL sports
