Thank you so much for volunteering to Coach with OHYA baseball this season. We have a tremendous responsibility to positively affect the lives of over 600 young athletes. We have several tools in the tabs to the left that will help us achieve this objective.
The Coaching Clinic will be scheduled soon and information sent out. In the past this was a certification course which great for all coaches from the seasoned vet to the brand new beginner. All head coaches and assistant coaches are encouraged to attend.
The concussion course is mandated by Ohio Law for all coaches of youth athletes. Concussions have been a huge focus in sports, and the course guarantees a level of competence when dealing with potential injuries.
The practice request form will allow the committee to best allocate practice times for our coaches and athletes. We are making every effort to accommodate request, including request for Lacrosse athletes attempting to play two sports during the spring.
The background request form should have the names of all coaches and assistant coaches that you plan to have this season. Simply fill out the information on the form, and OHYA will do the rest. If you have been background checked for other sports through OHYA, completing the form IS still necessary, although we will process the background check.
The medical form is for you to have all parents complete. As coaches, we should have access, either electronically or printed, to this emergency medical information during all practices or games.
